Watchmaking courses for enthusiasts

A training path dedicated to collectors, enthusiasts and watch owners who want to better understand the operation, maintenance and real needs of their watches.

The aim of the seminar is to develop greater technical awareness, overcome widespread false myths and encourage a clearer, more balanced relationship between those who use watches and those who work on them professionally.

COURSE PROGRAM

First part – Dialogue and direct discussion

Interactive session with the watchmaker, during which participants can ask questions and explore fundamental topics such as:

• watch operation
• ordinary and extraordinary maintenance
• correct everyday use
• common mistakes to avoid
• long-term preservation and care

At the end of the session, additional time will be dedicated to open discussion between the watchmaker and participants.

A mid-course break with refreshments offered by Ancré is included.

Second part – Practical bench experience.

Each participant will receive a Swiss automatic mechanical movement to work on directly, guided step by step by the watchmaker.

During the practical sessions, participants will cover the main stages of:

• Technical observation of the movement
• Guided disassembly
• Analysis of the main components
• Assisted reassembly

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the seminar.
