Beginner watchmaking course
The Beginner Course is the ideal starting point for those who have never had contact with watchmaking, have never used specific equipment and do not know the internal structure of a watch.
It is designed both for those who want to begin a professional path but cannot immediately enter a workshop, and for companies or businesses that want to train inexperienced staff so they can manage the first basic operations independently.

DURATION AND ORGANIZATION
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Schedule: 4 hours in the morning
- Additional afternoon hours available on request and at extra cost, dedicated exclusively to practical exercises.
Those who need to return to work or carry out professional activities in the afternoon will have the rest of the day free.
COURSE PROGRAM
The path starts from the simplest operations to build a solid and progressive foundation:
- Opening and closing watches
- Battery and strap replacement
- Partial maintenance operations
The course then moves on to the study of quartz mechanisms:
- Removing the movement from the case
- Disassembly and reassembly of dial and hands
- Complete disassembly of conventional Swiss quartz calibres
In the final lessons, each participant will carry out a complete service on a simple quartz watch, simulating a real intervention:
- Opening the watch
- Disassembling and servicing the movement
- Casing up
- Closing and simulating delivery to the customer
FINAL INTERVIEW
At the end of the course, individual assessment interviews will be held to analyse any errors and areas for improvement. These do not prevent continuation of the training path.
A certificate of attendance will be issued with full awareness of the participant’s actual skills. Where opportunities exist, possible placement through an internship at external workshops or businesses may be evaluated.
ACQUIRED SKILLS
At the end of the course, the particpants will be able to:
- Perform basic operations independently
- Carry out simple servicing on quartz watches
Ancré is responsible exclusively for training and any support in placement, which remains subject to the availability of host companies.
